Win 10 CMD Popups - Solved
Win 10 CMD Popups - Solved
About 2 weeks ago, I started getting the windows CMD entry box popping up about every hour and this would happen in-game too forcing the game to desktop briefly. Yesterday I solved this and am now not getting any popups interrupting my gaming. Here's what I did...
1. Right click on the WIN start button and select search, enter TASK Scheduler and click the search result.
2. Expand Task Scheduler Libary then Microsoft > Office
3. Double click "OfficeBackgroundTaskHandlerRegistration", its the one listed as triggering every hour
4. In the security options, next to where it says "USER", click "Change Users or Groups" and enter "System", click Ok > OK
5. Close Task Scheduler
This stops windows doing this trigger in the User domain and performs it at a lower level... More importantly, it stops those blasted popups... Hope this helps..

Re: Win 10 CMD Popups - Solved
Had same thing happening last few days, thought it had something to do with Task Scheduler.
You mean to put System in this box marked with red rectangle?

stop downloading naughty films?
Re: Win 10 CMD Popups - Solved
Check other scheduled tasks to see what is triggering more than once a day plus also check apps and uninstall unwanted stuff.
Re: Win 10 CMD Popups - Solved
I completely disabled this OfficeBackgroundTaskHandlerRegistration. Lets see if that works out
Re: Win 10 CMD Popups - Solved
Instead of disabling those tasks you can set your Office to current build instead of insider build. The insider build is the one that's currently bugged.
