PC spec-very poor performance -SQUAD

Post by PYRO »

Hi all , i really hope someone can help me with some tips regarding squad and PC specs

My PC specs :

CPU:Intel core I7 -4790 K @ 4.00 GHZ. gen 4
RAM : 16 Gigs DD3
motherboard : Asus H81M-C soket 1150 - DDR3
GPU : Nvidia geforce RTX 2070 8 gb. 256 bit
2x SSD

OK , on the last 6-9 months i start running Squad , very very , very poorly.

Tonight for example on Tallil Outskirts , at some point i got 14 FPS !!!!! fu cking 14.....and i got at maximum around 45.
Only when i was spawning on main , or i was completley alone watching a side of cap. point i got around 55.
But in firefights ..i receive total dropping in FPS.

Game setting :

resolution: 1600x900- fullscreen
details , shadow , distance, effect : high
sharpening :50
anti-aliasing : FXAA
super sampling : 0ff OR 1.25x
rest of the settings OFF

what do you guys have to say...what can i change, and if we are talking about hardware...again , what should i buy.

thanks a lot !

My options here would be:

1. Clear user cache.
2. Verify files
3. HDD/SSD Fragmentation (my SSD slowed down after 3-4 years to 30mb speed instead of 500 and went back up after fragmentation)
4. Roll-back drivers to last known proper working ones

Well the thing is...
Your PC is strong enough to run 60 smooth fps in that resolution

But if you would want new PC then:

MOBO: ASUS ROG Strix Z370-E Gaming
CPU: Intel I7-8700k
DDR4: HyperX Predator, DDR4, 16 GB,3200MHz or any other thats CL16
Cooler: up to you
PSU: depending on what you have

AMD Platform
MOBO: ASUS Strix X470-F
CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 or Ryzen 7 3700 (don't go for x, waste of money)
DDR4: HyperX Predator, DDR4, 16 GB,3600MHz, CL17 (or try to find any that has CL16, ryzen works best atm with 3600 speed ram)
Cooler: up to you
PSU: depending on what you have

That's all I would change in ur PC since u already have 2070, if you will have any more spare money after that then go for some M2 SSD or normal SSD or HDD for storage purpose

If you decide to upgrade your PC, please consider upgrading monitor too! You're not even at 1080p! That rig would be a waste for that monitor :D

I would second a AMD cpu. I have a 2700x(stock no overclock) with a Vega64 gpu(I think your gpu is better). I average around 100 FPS, I think most my settings are highest. Never really notice any dips.

Yep, PC spec are well above recommended for game, so its probably going to be a software issue...

Well , first thx all for feedback..about my monitor ..well actually it an Benq gc2870h 28 '' wich native resolution is 1080x1920x1080 , but if i run Squad at this resolution , the game it's ..litarally dying..so i use 1600x900

About the Nvidia coltrol panel teeks...we can you be more speciffic...?
I neab i already use adaptive V sync..but i did.nt really mess with much more settings.

And it;s more frustrating when i hear ppl with same system spoec...and they have 70-80 fps on higest setting...and i see pixels for 45 fps..

Hi guys , searching the shops , i found an motherboard soket 1150 ( like mine ) with 4 slots of ram.
For the moment i have 2x8 gb ram DDR3 at 1600 mhz.

Do you think it;s worthing to get that motherboard , and buy another 2x8 gb of ram ?

Or...to switch on motherboard ..ram...cpu with DDR4?

Don't invest any more money in DDR3 if you want to dish out money just get DDR4
