I have been approached by multiple friends on my Steam list. So far they have been RIP members messaging me with a link and the request to help out their CSGO team. DO NOT CLICK ON THE LINK. Steam accounts have been hacked and it is spreading the link.

Think Frog, Doc.Mulleson and Kurgen are confirmed

This is an example of what will be sent, just so use have an idea.

I clicked on it knowing there are cs:go players in the clan (oops). I found info on what to do if you click the link:

Scan for Malware/virus (fortunately I found none but do it anyway, full scan)

Deauthorize all devices https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage

Change your Account password on a secure device.

Generate new back up codes.

Revoke the API key https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey (there shouldn't be any at all)

I would also recommend getting Steamguard on your phone for more security if you haven't already.

Yeah I got one of these. I ignored it

One tip. Use a password manager like lastpass and the autofill function. Autofill will detect phising sites and not fill out your password thus avoiding problems like this. It’s free too.

so i went in kneels deep but so far i noticed nothing happened other than the messages

to be sure i will change all passwords and did the steam device sweep.

other im just glad my payment details are not known to steam as i use paypal for that.

if you check your login history you will see when your account was accessed and where from

I have also unblocked 19 contacts, some of them are still not showing in friends list (ie Trixy RNGunner) so i assume as they may have been compromised too i would still be blocked on their accounts?
