I have never really got into arma to be fair.
I have Arma 3 right now. What would the Arma gents propose I spend my money further on?

For any missions they are doing currently, the only dlc that might be mandatory is the Apex dlc.

At absolute minimum you need the APEX DLC, the rest personal choice.
