MONITOR problem now...

Post by PYRO »

HI mates , i manage in the last year to upgrade my monitor , from a standard 60 hz ..to a 144 hz.

To be more specific : ZOWIE XL2731 144Hz, TN, 27 inch

Good, my graphic card Nvidia geforce RTX 2070 8 Gb 256 bit.

Both , the monitor and graphic card are gsync/free sync compatible.

The issue , when i enter ANY GAME , the screen GOES BLACK , but the game is still running normally.
I found that if i turn off the monitor and power it back up , the issue is gone....until i enter another game.

Another issue, G SYNC is not working all the time even if is enabled from Nvidia Control panel.

New graphic driver aren;t helping at all.

So , anybody encounter those issues and know what to do ?

I can;t just simply return the product because the monitor is working...plus i live in transylvania...the OX cart can;t reach me =))

thanks.

DDU you drivers and reinstall the latest ones. Also make sure you allow your g-sync to run on borderless windowed mode in nvidia control panel.

Are you using a displayport cable, as G-sync only works with displayport not HDMI

HI , thx , well i did DDU and fresh clean latest drivers..still the same. Black screen , and Gsync not working.
And yes i use DP cable...and not even the standard one...i bought an expensive one.

Pretty f*cking annoying to buy a 500 E monitor ...to get this crap..

My concern , is...that ..i am not sure if those issues are form drivers ..on physically from the hardware/ monitor ..so i can sent it back...

Try connecting it to a laptop or some other device and see if the problems continue. If so it might be the monitor.

My last fix would be turning off gsync and check in the monitor menu itself for anything related

And what type of display port version you use?

Also make sure your display adapter is running at 144hz

..well...monitor menu , have nothing related as an option. Also...you lost me at "display adapter "

For DP cable i have this " Displayport 1.2 Alb 2m 4K T-T, Delock 84877"

I will try to connect it at my laptop.

thanks

yes , i have done that , set at 144 hz. and ...i only have 1 monitor...so no problem there . Also i set gSync for both full screen and windowed. yet still Gsync not seems to work.

Now ..again my greatest issue ..is that i dont know if this are software related ..or the monitor it's the problem.

Waiting for another driver...?

sent it back...damn ..it would take forever....

I run out of things to try .

Looking at the spec I don't see that the monitor has free sync or gsync.

Have you tried playing without?

When is check the specs I didn't see any gsync or freesync technology. Are you sure the monitor has it?

For gsync to work correctly you preferably set your in-game gps 2 lower then your refresh rate.
